Connectivity for the family
The company also launched the Echo Show 15, a device for family organizations, as if it were a digital organizer board. It is meant to be the “digital heart of the house”, as the brand says. With a 15.6-inch Full HD 1080p screen, the device can be wall-mounted or stand on a stand, comes with a next-generation AZ2 Neural Edge processor, home screen with customization options, new face-recognition customization features, and new widgets from Alexa. Users can update the family calendar, view shopping lists, consult recipes, and customize their own music. With facial recognition, the device recognizes who is using it and automatically shows that family member’s information. Among the releases, this is the only one that arrives in Brazil in the coming months. The suggested price is R$1,899.
Another audience that has also entered Amazon’s sights is children. The company announced Amazon Glow, a video calling device similar to a smartphone but with a more robust design. It has a projector that displays games, stories, and content from company partners such as Disney, Mattel, and Nickelodeon. Some games interact with physical objects and children can play with their relatives during calls.
